The goal of 90 per cent of the Atlantic Halibut quota was reached at the end of the first reallocation period in late September.

A total of 7,070 kg was landed in the last two days of the fishery, bringing the total for the 2017 fishery to 47,080 kg or 90.5 per cent of the initial quota. The remaining quota (4,902 kg, preliminary amount) will be carried over to the 2018 season.
