Fish Canada Workboat Canada successfully wrapped up two busy days at the Moncton Coliseum Complex on January 23–24, 2026, once again bringing together the region’s commercial fishing, aquaculture and workboat industries for Atlantic Canada’s largest commercial marine and fishing event.
The biennial show welcomed 5,079 industry professionals and featured more than 100 exhibitors showcasing equipment, technology and services supporting the commercial marine sector. Fish Canada Workboat Canada continues to serve as a key meeting place for harvesters, processors, vessel owners and operators, suppliers and marine service providers.
“Fish Canada Workboat Canada continues to be a valuable forum for the commercial marine industry,” said Show Manager Shawn Murphy. “Bringing people together in one place allows for meaningful dialogue and practical takeaways.”
A highlight of the event was the Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held Friday, January 23, recognizing industry leaders for their lasting contributions. This year’s inductees were:
- Leslie Leger — Processor Category
- Melanie Sonnenberg — Builder Category
- Bobby (Robert) Jenkins — Mariner Category
The awards were presented to the inductees by the Honourable Pat Finnigan, Minister of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries.
Educational seminars on Saturday, January 24 featured industry organizations and experts discussing timely issues impacting today’s commercial marine sector.
